Terms of Use

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Theia helps you save public Instagram media. Use it lawfully, and only for content you are allowed to have.

Your responsibility

Only download content you own, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally allowed to access. Public does not mean free to reuse: a post being visible to everyone does not give you the right to repost, distribute, sell, or commercially use it. What you do with a file you download is your responsibility.

Do not use Theia to

Theia may slow, challenge, limit, or block access when activity looks automated, excessive, harmful, or inconsistent with creator rights. See Responsible use.

No guarantees

Theia is a hobby project, provided as-is. It may return incomplete results, stop working, or become unavailable — often because a third-party platform changed something. Features may change, be limited, or be removed at any time.

Not affiliated, and not liable

Theia is independent, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, or any other platform; their names, logos, and content belong to them. Theia does not own the media it retrieves and cannot verify that every user has permission to download it. To the extent the law allows, Theia's creator is not responsible for misuse of downloaded content, copyright disputes, lost or unavailable files, or damages caused by using the service.
